Sikh Wedding Photography at Shendish Manor

Photographing a Sikh wedding is always a pleasure, they are fun, energy filled full on celebrations of love. This is day two of a stunning Sikh Wedding in and around London. In case you missed it there is a blog post that looks at Day one of this fabulous couple's celebrations.

This Sikh wedding took place at Shendish Manor in Hemel Hempstead. Shendish Manor is a beautiful wedding venue, set in 160 acres of parkland with stunning gardens and a golf course. There has been a house on site since the 13th century. The building as we see it today was built in 1853. The day began with the grooms Baraat (arrival), a colourful mix of singing, dancing, chanting and drumming through the grounds of Shendish Manor. Parents exchanged garlands before the ceremony, meal and then lots and lots of dancing.

My Favourite Wedding Photo

This wonderful couple were all smiles all day and this shone during the confetti creating this beautiful fun moment. The secret to a good confetti photo is for the couple to just have a great time and for there to be lots and lots of confetti.

I love this photo for its candidness, the Bride had just walked up the aisle and I had backed around the gazebo so I could photograph from the other side. Halfway round I saw this through the gazebo and captured this wonderfully candid moment between the bride and groom.

The reception was an absolute party! The dancing did not stop all evening. Almost every single guest was on the dance floor at some point, some never left it!
